Parliament Approves Air Service Deals with Six Countries
Parliament has approved bilateral air service agreements between Ghana and six countries to improve international air transport cooperation.
The agreements involve Benin, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Guyana, Luxembourg and Qatar.
They are designed to create a clear and fair system for regulating air services between Ghana and each of the partner countries.
Under the agreements, Ghana and the other countries will maintain their sovereign rights while allowing approved airlines to operate agreed routes under transparent conditions.
The deals also include arrangements for resolving disputes, following national laws and protecting the financial stability of international airline operations.
The agreements are expected to improve air connectivity, support passenger and cargo movement, and strengthen trade, tourism, investment and business relations between Ghana and the six countries.
